What makes my online studio different?

Specialized Training and Experienced Coaching

Many online fitness classes are taught by people who have never worked with clients in person or had much (if any) anatomical and biomechanical training. They might be fit and strong themselves, but they don’t know how to make workouts effective for a body under different circumstances, with different needs than their own, or people desiring to build holistic functional strength.

I have 2 decades of real world coaching experience, over 1,000 hours of training and education specializing in biomechanical understanding of movement, holistically developing functional strength in the core and pelvic floor, and understanding how to support the prenatal/postnatal body, and how to integrate functional strength to support you in real life. I’ve also had the incredible experience of using functional movement to heal my body (a body I was told could only be healed via surgery).

I have worked with clients from great grandmas to cross-fit athletes to pregnant mamas to the grandma who wants to play on the floor with their grandkids.

I bring all of my real world experience and training into every class I create for my online studio.

Variety Of Classes

I have tons of experience practicing and teaching strength training, everything from cardio to mobility to developing functional strength, along with educational tutorials. There are series specializing in understanding the core and pelvic floor, walking you through your pregnancy, developing a step by step practice for a specific fitness goal and more.

New classes are added monthly and range in length from 5 - 60 minutes.

Many online offerings in the movement space leave much to be desired when it comes to audio/video quality. All of my content is shot in a studio with the latest equipment and technology. The video AND audio are crisp and clear, with no need to strain to hear or live with distracting background noise and all the videos are available for HD streaming at different sizes depending on your device and data usage needs.

What people asked before signing up for the Online Studio:

No, but there are some similarities. Increasing mobility and low impact, mindful movement is what overlaps the two.

How is what I teach is different? Yoga also has a spiritual/specific philosophy integrated into the practice. My work is focused on biomechanics, understanding how your own body works through movement, slowing down and developing a deeper connection to all the parts of your body through education and movement practice.

What I teach is intentional, low-impact movement that is designed to support your whole body experience. I also have classes focused on developing function in specific areas, pregnancy, core and pelvic floor, developing strength and function in specific body parts and restorative classes that help you support general aches and pains. Low impact doesn't mean easy, I have classes geared to help you develop strength and support your heart, you can sweat and exert some nice energy or pick from a lower energy level classes. What all the classes have in common is you understanding your own body better, developing functional strength that applies to your everyday life, and feeling freedom and joy in your own skin.

Nope. This online studio is designed to be super-accessible, building from where you’re starting now. I’ve coached amazing great-grandma’s to seasoned athletes and love helping you find your boundaries and build strength from there.

I’d recommend being able to get up and down off of the ground comfortably, and being able to be on hands and knees for a minute or two, the rest will be built up as you continue to take classes in the studio!

As always, consult with your primary healthcare provide before starting any new exercise plan or program.

Also, another "no." You will want a comfortable place to exercise, so you can use a yoga mat, but you can also just exercise on your carpet! I recommend using a half foam roller, a yoga block or two, a yoga strap, and a blanket. I also show you creative ways you can substitute any of these pieces with things you already have around your house. I find that it’s easier to simply have a few simple tools, but it’s entirely possible to get a bit creative and substitute as needed.

In general, all of my classes are low-impact and I talk you through modifications for wherever you're at. Additionally, as an online studio member, you'll have access to classes specifically created to help heal and restore your core and pelvic floor.
